Twift ("we," "us," or "our") is a developer utility designed to extract CSS variables and generate Tailwind CSS v4 @theme blocks. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

2. Data We Process Locally

Twift operates primarily within your browser.

  • CSS Variable Extraction: When you use the "Scan" feature, the extension reads the document.styleSheets and computed styles of the active tab. This data is processed locally in your browser to generate the theme block.
  • No Storage: We do not store, upload, or transmit the CSS data or website content you scan to our servers or any third parties.

3. Data We Collect (Voluntary Support)

Twift is a free tool. We only collect personal information if you choose to support the project via the "Donation" button:

  • Email Address: Collected to send you a receipt and provide support.
  • Transaction Data: Details regarding your voluntary contribution (amount, date, and payment status).
  • Payment Processing: We do not store your credit card or bank details. All payments are processed securely by PayPal and Wise.

4. Technical Data

To ensure the security and performance of our backend services (powered by Hono and Bun), our servers may log:

  • IP Address: For security and rate-limiting purposes.
  • Basic Usage Stats: Non-identifiable events (e.g., number of times the extension was opened).

5. Permissions Justification

  • activeTab & scriptingUsed only to read styles on the current page when initiated by the user.
  • sidePanelUsed to provide a persistent UI for the developer.
  • clipboardWriteUsed solely to allow you to copy the generated code to your local editor.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services which have their own privacy policies:

  • PayPal: For processing donations.
  • GitHub: For hosting the project and documentation.

7. Your Rights

As a user in the Philippines, you are protected under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). You have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of any personal information (such as your email from our donation list) at any time.
